Terms and Conditions
Ever Green Recycling Card - Terms and Conditions
Ever Green Recycling Card Terms of Use Agreement
The following agreement describes the terms and conditions that apply to your Ever Green Recycling Card between you and Ever Green Environmental Corporation (hereafter referred to as “Ever Green Recycling”).
By activating your Ever Green Recycling Card, you agree to the terms and conditions of this agreement. Please keep a copy of this agreement for your records. The terms and conditions of this agreement will govern the use of the Ever Recycling Green Card.
How the Ever Green Recycling Card Works
Each Ever Green Recycling Card has its own unique account number. When you bring your beverage containers to a Green Depot for recycling, you will scan your Ever Green Recycling Card to print off labels with your account number on them, which you can then place on your recycling bags/boxes. When your beverage containers are counted and sorted, Ever Green Recycling will credit your Ever Green Recycling Card with the appropriate beverage container deposit refund and send you an email to notify you that the count has been completed. The counts of the beverage containers performed by Ever Green Recycling, its staff, and/or employees are verified by our computerized Management Information System, and these counts are final. Upon your request, the funds in your account will be paid out to you, to Ever Green Recycling, or to a participating external charity, as you instruct.
Registering Your Card
Once you have received an Ever Green Recycling Card from a Green Depot, you must register it online at www.greencan.ca. After you register your card, you will be able to view your account information online and request that any funds credited to your account be paid out.
Bag Limits
To ensure minimal wait times for the Ever Green Recycling Card, there is a limit of 6 (six) bags/boxes each time you swipe your car.
Bar Coded Stickers
It is very important to ensure that you request the accurate number of bar coded stickers to place on your bags/boxes. Your Ever Green Recycling card account will only be credited once all bar coded stickers have been accounted for and all material in the attached bags/boxes are counted.
Redeeming the Funds on your Ever Green Recycling Card
You can redeem the funds on your Ever Green Recycling Card by going online at www.greencan.ca and entering your account number and password. Please note that there is a minimum payment permitted of $50, therefore, customers will be required to accumulate a minimum of $50 in their account before they have access to the payment options.
You will be provided with three options for redeeming the funds: You can have the funds paid out directly to you; you can donate the funds to Ever Green Recycling; or you can donate the funds to a participating charity.
If you choose to have the funds paid out directly to you, there are two payment options: Cheque or Paypal. Once you have selected your payment method, Ever Green Recycling will mail you a cheque or transfer the funds to your Paypal account (as the case may be) for the sum you indicate within thirty (30) days of the date you instruct us to do so.
If you choose to donate the funds to Ever Green Recycling or to another participating charity, Ever Green Recycling will make the donation on your behalf in the sum that you indicate.
Ever Green Recycling will provide you with a tax receipt for any charitable donations that you make from your Ever Green Recycling Card. Unless you otherwise instruct, tax receipts will be emailed to you one time per year at the email address included in your Ever Green Recycling Card account information.
Fees and Expiration of Card Balances
Ever Green Recycling does not charge any fee for the issuance, activation, or use of your Ever Green Recycling Card and your Ever Green Recycling Card has no expiration date. However, there is a fee of $10 for a replacement card if the card is lost, stolen or damaged.
Account Errors, Corrections
We reserve the right to correct the balance of your Ever Green Recycling Card account if we believe that a clerical, accounting or other error occurred. We shall have no liability for any accounting error. You should monitor your transactions and account balances closely.
Liability for Unauthorized Transactions
You are responsible for all transactions associated with your Ever Green Recycling Card, including unauthorized transactions. If your Ever Green Recycling Card is lost, stolen, or destroyed, it can be replaced with the balance remaining on it for a $10 fee. If your Ever Green Recycling Card becomes lost, stolen or damaged, you should contact us immediately. You may be asked to provide your card number and asked certain questions concerning recent activity on your account. Your Ever Green Recycling Card balance will be protected only from the point in time you notify us that the card is missing, and we are able to verify ownership of the card. We will freeze the remaining balance on your Ever Green Recycling Card at the same time you notify us and will load that remaining balance on a replacement Ever Green Recycling Card, which will be provided to you as soon as possible.
